Get involved: Musinc
Welcome to Musinc!
Musinc is the music engagement programme at Middlesbrough Town Hall. We offer a range of engaging musical activities including weekly groups such as Community Choir, Bandjam and Performing Arts as well as projects with local partners for people facing barriers. Our schools programme puts on engaging live concerts, big gigs and careers events that are also open to home-educating families. We also organise relaxed performances such as Classical Cafés, and opportunities for young people to perform live through events like Amplify.
Our vision
Our vision is that every person experiences the benefits that music making brings.
Musinc’s mission is to provide opportunities in Middlesbrough for people of all ages, backgrounds and circumstances to make music, connect with others and explore their musical identity. Our mission is achieved through our values.
We are:
- Inclusive: accessibility and diversity drives everything we do
- Collaborative: we build connections with communities
- Creative: we’re passionate about developing new ideas
- Responsive: we respect and understand the needs of others
- Determined: we tackle challenges and inspire others to make change
Access
Our events and activities programme is designed to be inclusive and accessible for everyone. Our team of staff and facilitators are experienced in working with young people with SEND, poor mental health and families facing challenging circumstances, and tailor their work to meet the needs of the people in the room. If you have any queries about your own or your young person’s ability to access an activity or event, please get in touch to discuss your needs.
