Who’s on stage
Royal Northern Sinfonia are joined by director and versatile violinist Anthony Marwood for our first of three concerts at Middlesbrough Theatre.

What they’re playing
Strings take centre stage. Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence is packed with sweeping lyricism and fiery drive, Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto brims with fearless youthful energy. And Janáček’s folk‑inspired dances keep things grounded – lively, rhythmic, and close to their roots.
