About this event

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – join Musinc and Apollo Arts for a festive Schools Big Gig!

This fun-filled big gig will include magical sing-a-longs with a live band and lots of musical Christmas games delivered by the creative education specialist, Apollo Arts.

The live musical experience not only gets your young people singing, dancing and full of festive cheer in a friendly, fun and safe environment, but it’s also been designed with the national curriculum for music in mind… so it’s the perfect opportunity to tick that off your Christmas list too!

Open to primary aged children in school groups and home educating families. We encourage children from Yr 2 – Yr 6 to attend this event as we consider the noise and darkness could be a little overwhelming for those that are younger (Yr 1 and below).

This event will include live BSL interpretation.

Any religious content discussed or presented is merely for educational or cultural context and should not be interpreted as a promotion of any particular belief system.

Access information

Our schools event will have the following features:
• During the event, the band will invite the audience to stand if they can, dance and sing along. Young people can choose to opt in or out and there’ll always be a quiet space available if the event becomes overwhelming
• A limited number of ear defenders are available from the Box Office – by the main entrance on Albert Street. See us as early as possible to secure a pair.
• Our spaces have consistent lighting, with low level auditorium lights on throughout

Pushchairs and prams
Due to Middlesbrough Town Hall’s fire regulation policies pushchairs, prams & car seats must be left in our dedicated ‘buggy parking’ zone on the carriageway and cannot be taken into any of the event spaces. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for items left there, but we do our best to keep an eye on them.
