About this event
Who’s on stage
Ana María Patiño-Osorio leads Royal Northern Sinfonia and Julian Bliss in bringing Mozart’s much-loved Clarinet Concerto to life.
What they’re playing
We start out at sea with Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture - all rolling waves and salty air. Then it’s Mozart at his most open and expressive, with a clarinet line that feels almost like someone singing straight to you. Mendelssohn’s ‘Italian’ Symphony sweeps everything along in a rush of sunshine, movement and pure joy.
