The Hallé
Powerful, poignant and ecstatic, Elgar’s Cello Concerto is one of the composers most famous pieces, sweeping the audience along with its straight-to-the heart melodies – music that burns with intensity. Similarly impassioned is Beethoven’s Symphony No.3, music that was totally groundbreaking for its time. It contains some of the most recognised melodies in all of orchestral music and its ending has to be one of the most thrilling of any symphony.
Concert lasts around 2 hours including a 20 minute interval
