About this event
THIS EVENT TAKES PLACE AT ST MARY’S CATHEDRAL – MIDDLESBROUGH
Dalby Way, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, TS8 0TW
Established in Middlesbrough in 1972, the Brodsky Quartet has performed over 3,000 concerts worldwide and released more than 70 recordings. Their insatiable curiosity has led them to explore diverse artistic directions, securing their prominent position in the international chamber music scene.
Celebrating their 50th anniversary, they continue to tour extensively across major festivals and venues globally. Renowned for their performances of complete quartet cycles by composers such as Schubert, Beethoven, and Bartók, the Brodsky Quartet is particularly associated with Shostakovich’s works.
This special ‘homecoming’ performance at St Mary’s Cathedral includes music by Ravel, Bach and Shostakovich.
