About this event
It’s a Big Mouth first for the fabulous Gbemi Oladipo! Well on the way to becoming a household name, his engaging and unpredictable writing style combined with his high energy performances have seen him nominated for the BBC’s New Comedian of the Year, and win the Max Turner Prize for Comedy and The Comedy Stores King Gong.
He also wrote and starred in the award-winning F*ck My Life – Most Racist Uber Ride Ever, a story based on one of his real-life experiences. The short film produced by Pulped Productions won the prestigious Broadcast Digital Awards in 2020 for Best Short-Form Format. It was also nominated for a Webby Award for Comedy (2021) alongside videos from James Corden (winner), Trevor Noah’s the Daily Show, and The Simpsons. And if all that isn’t enough, he also writes for Sky’s Fantasy Football League show. Catch him while you can!
Michael Akadiri is not only one of the fastest rising stars on the circuit, he’s also a junior doctor! He’s the inaugural winner of the Komedia New Comedy Award and starred in the London finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2021 (BBC Three).
Michael’s burgeoning TV Career has seen him feature on the latest series Comedy Central LIVE (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2) and the aforementioned BBC Comedy Awards (BBC Three). He has collaborated with Channel 4, appearing in their Jokes Only series on their Facebook & TikTok channels. Michael has also written and performed original sketch content in partnership with LadBible UK.
His radio credits include the Capital Xtra’s Breakfast Show, BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club and stand-up on Radio 4’s Fred at the Stand.
American comedian Krystal Evans was voted Best Newcomer at Edinburgh last year and has exploded into a jaw dropping sensation with 5 star reviews coming faster than she can keep up. Remember – you saw her here first!
