About this event
Amplify is a free performance opportunity for young people aged 12-18 in a friendly and supportive event space.
Performing in front of an audience can be daunting – so if you’re a young musician wanting to try something out on a smaller scale and build your confidence in a relaxed environment, Amplify is for you!
We invite young people to perform in front of other young musicians, family, and friends. You’ll also get a chance to see bands and soloists from the Bandjam group at Middlesbrough Town Hall. We welcome all types of music – your performance can be something you’ve been working on recently that you would like people to hear, and it doesn’t have to be a finished piece.
Our MC will be on hand to support throughout the event to manage the performers and is always happy to share their music industry expertise.
HOW DO I PERFORM?
To sign up as a performer, please fill in our online sign-up form (https://arcg.is/LLj4S0) and we’ll be in touch to discuss and confirm your performance slot. To discuss, please email musinc@middlesbrough.gov.uk.

Performers are required to bring their own instruments and cables, and we will supply PA, drum kit, keyboard, mics, and other equipment.
